Fort Delta is dedicated to representing emerging artists and to the advancement of contemporary art in Melbourne. In addition to being a commercial art gallery, it houses a bookstore, artist studios, and the fashion retail space, Centre for Style. It also hosts artist run projects, creative and educational workshops as well as other creative Industry events; and works in partnership with a variety of festivals and universities.
Founded on the idea that art should be accessible, engaging and all encompassing, Fort Delta's aim is to explore the many facets of the contemporary art industry in relation to the viewing public and other creative industries. In doing so, Fort Delta continues to establish strong conceptual and commercial platforms for its artists, whilst facilitating a lively dialogue between artists and the people of Melbourne.
